W/M DOB 12/06/1987: On Wednesday, April 13 2011, Bryan Wrigley, a South Carolina native attending University of St. Augustine and avid bicycle rider, was riding his bicycle eastbound on CR-214 near Poa Boy Farms Rd.  Around 3:15pm, and for reasons unknown, a westbound 2001 to 2003 Blue Ford Ranger crossed the center line of the road and struck Bryan Wrigley head-on killing him instantly.  The driver then fled the crash scene west bound.  A witness in the area described the Ford Ranger as an extended cab, and the driver as a 18-21 year old white male with dark hair.  He was last seen turning south on CR13 from CR214 with a bicycle tire still stuck to the front of the truck.

 

Rebecca Ann Ware (Solved)
Reported missing Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010
Rebecca Ann Ware 34 years of age was reported missing by her family on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010. She was last seen at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, October 29th at her place of employment (Hydro America, 200 Riviera Blvd.) Ware resided at a residence in the 100 block of Phoenetia Dr. in St. Augustine Shores. She is a white female, 5’10”, 160 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

 

 

 

Franklin S. Curtis
W/M DOB 10/21/1926: He was located deceased on 6/20/1981 in a wooded area adjacent to the north rest area on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County. He sustained multiple stab wounds and his vehicle was stolen and later located in Camden County GA. Motive is possibly Robbery.

 

 

 

 

Nancy Jo Canode
W/F DOB 10/20/1941: She was located deceased on 03/04/1981 in her residence in Ponte Vedra Beach.

 

 

 

 

 

Joseph Del Guidice AKA GI Joe (No photo available)
W/M DOB 04/01/1917: He was located deceased on 09/24/1981 in his residence at the ‘GI Joe Motel’ on US 1 South. He sustained a gunshot wound while in his residence. Motive appears to be some type of retaliation.

W/M DOB 04/20/1943: He was located deceased on 12/12/1981 in a wooded near the intersection of TPC Blvd and Solano Rd. in Ponte Vedra Beach. The victim died as a result of blunt force trauma. He was seen in Jacksonville Beach on the evening prior to his murder. Robbery is possibly the motive.

 

 

 

 

Judy Hill Leland (Solved)
W/F DOB 2/20/1960: She was located deceased on 01/22/1982 in the parking lot of the T/A Truck stop (formally G/M Truck Stop)  located at CR 210 and Interstate 95 in St. Johns County. Homicide is possibly sexually motivated.

 

 

 

 

George Henry Lee
W/M 3/8/1940: On 10/02/1982 he was contacted by law enforcement in the West St. Augustine after sustaining numerous head injuries due to an assault. He was transported to the hospital and later died as a result of his injuries. His death was caused by blunt force trauma to the face and head. The investigation revealed he was possibly assaulted by numerous young black males while in the West St. Augustine area.

 

 

 

Richard Jeffery Jackson
W/M DOB 10/20/1954: He was located deceased on 5/07/1982 at the The Sheridan Inn of Anastasia on St. Augustine Beach. Victim died as a result of multiple stab wounds. A white male was seen leaving the hotel room shortly after the murder. Robbery is possibly the motive.

 

 

 

 

Brenda Strickland
W/F DOB 3/31/1949: She was located deceased on 06/09/1986 in front of her residence on Pleasure Lane in St. Augustine FL. Victim died as a result of gunshot wounds. Motive appears to be some type of retaliation.

 

 

 

 

 

Paul Johnson (no photo available)
W/M DOB 7/30/1943: He was located deceased on 01/07/1989 off CR 210, just south of Mickler’s Cut off in Ponte Vedra Beach. Victim was in advanced state of decomposition and the remains weren’t identified immediately. Victim was from Jacksonville and there is no apparent motive in the murder.

 

 

 

 

Phillip Lane (No photo Available)
W/M DOB 10/25/1950: He was a transient who was located deceased on 03/04/1992 under the 312 Bridge in St. Augustine FL. Victim died as a result of a gunshot wound. No apparent motive.

 

 

 

 

Eve Machan
W/F approximately 27 years old: She was located deceased in September of 1993 in a wooded area off CR 210, just west of US 1 North within St. Johns County. She was a Hungarian immigrant who lived and was employed as an exotic dancer in Jacksonville.

 

 

 

 

Katherine A. Walker (Solved)
B/F DOB 12/21/1962: She was located deceased on 03/08/1994 on 880 Federal Point Rd. (Hastings FL) in a drainage ditch. Homicide is possibly sexually motivated.

 

 

 

 

Cherie Morrisette (Solved) 
W/F 11 years old: She was located deceased on 12/02/1996 in the St. Johns River near Orangedale. She was previously reported as a missing person out of Jacksonville. Based on DNA evidence Robert Mitchell was arrested in 2005 and subsequently convicted, now serving a life sentence.

 

 

 

 

Jesse “Pee Wee” Whitley
W/M DOB 12/16/1959: He was located deceased on 01/20/1991 in Riverdale Park off CR 13 South. Victim died as a result of gunshot wounds. Motive appears to be some type of retaliation.

 

 

 

 

Orlando Lopez (No photo available)

H/M (laborer): He was located deceased on 05/26/1998 at 6100 Armstrong Rd. (Labor Camp) Victim died as a result of stab wounds.

 

 

 

 

Ralph Carnell Vaughan  (No photo Available)
B/M DOB 5/12/1949: He was located deceased on 10/01/1998 inside the Texaco Gas Station located at SR 206 and Interstate 95 in St. Johns County. He was employed at the gas station and was discovered deceased in the middle of the day and died as a result of a single gunshot wound. Robbery or retaliation may be the motive.

 

 

 

Kimberly Davies
W/F DOB 02/18/1965: She was located deceased on 10/23/1998 in her residence at 344 Quail Point Dr. in Ponte Vedra Beach. Her burned remains were located after a fire engulfed her residence. The cause of the fire is suspicious and remains under investigation.

 

 

 

 

Alicia Mae Eakins (Solved)
W/F DOB 7/22/1975: She was reported missing on 03/05/2000. She was last seen with her boy friend Ralph John Faba in the St. Augustine area. Foul play was suspected. March of 2008, Ralph Faba confessed to Alicia Eakins’ murder and directed law enforcement to her remains in the Ocala National Forest. He plead and was sentenced to an additional 25 years to be served consecutively to his current 40 year sentence.

 

 

 

Larissa Forbes
W/F DOB 05/22/1973: She was located deceased on 03/05/2001 in the Intracoastal Waterway in the Vilano Beach area. The victim’s body was weighted down before she was placed in the water. She was known to frequent the West St. Augustine area. No apparent motive.

 

 

 

 

Andrew Todd Bullock 
W/M DOB 12/08/1962: He was located deceased on 02/13/2002 in a remote area off CR 305. He was located near his vehicle (blue Lincoln Navigator) and his death was the result of gunshot wounds. He was traveling from North Carolina to Orlando. No apparent motive.

 

 

 

 

Leo Neil Napierata  (No photo Available)
W/M DOB 12/16/1956: He was located deceased on 08/09/2003 in his residence (converted school bus) at 140 Stratton Rd. St. Augustine FL. Victim died as a result of gunshot wounds. No apparent motive.

B/M DOB 11/01/1990: He was located deceased on 08/01/2005 floating in a waterway under the Deep Creek Bridge in Hastings FL. He was previously reported as a missing person out of Putnam County. No apparent motive.

 

 

 

 

Clark Edwin McWhorter (Solved)
W/M DOB 04/21/1975: He was located deceased on 01/28/2007 in the roadway on Coastal Highway in Guana State Park. Victim died as the result of a gunshot wound. No apparent motive.

 

 

 

 

Maria Martinez (Solved)
H/F DOB 12/03/1955: She was located deceased on 11/05/2007 on the side off SR 13, just north of Orangedale. She was last seen at her residence in Jacksonville by her husband on 11/04/2007 at 0330 hours.
