SJSO 2008 "Click It or Ticket" Campaign
The Click It or Ticket campaign is an occupant protection, selective traffic enforcement program proven to change motorists’ behavior, which in turn, causes them to buckle up for safety. This is the 8th year that the State of Florida will be involved in the campaign and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is proud to be a part of this life saving effort.
Adults age 18 and older must buckle up if driving or riding in the front seat; children age 3 and under must ride in a child restraint device; children age 4-5 must ride in a child restraint device or safety belt and children 6-17 must wear a safety belt, no matter their seating position in the vehicle.
This year the campaign begins on May 12, 2008 and runs through June 1, 2008. All vehicles will be the target of this campaign to see if the driver and passengers are wearing their seatbelts. Read about the 2008 campaign.
Remember, safety should be everyone’s concern. ARRIVE ALIVE!
