W.H.A.L.E. Car Seat Program
W.H.A.L.E. stands for We Have A Little Emergency. The child safety program which was started in the mid 1990's gives rescue personnel vital information about a child in a car seat that's been involved in a serious car crash. The child's name, emergency contact and medical information are written on a sticker that is placed on the back of the car seat.
The SJSO has packets available now for pickup at the main desk located at 4015 Lewis Speedway, St. Augustine, FL 32084. Inside these packets are four stickers; one for each side of the car seat, one for the back of the seat and one for the rear window of the vehicle.
Click here to download a flyer which has more details on the program, proper carseat installation proceedure tips and the local area sponsors where more packets are available.
