Our goal is to increase your awareness to lessen the likelihood you might become a victim.
Against Your Will Is Against the Law.
The Women’s Personal Safety Program offers introductory training for women interested in learning self-defense and increasing their awareness in personal safety.
The course is open to women 12 years of age and up, and can be customized to meet the individual needs of any group. The program is offered at no charge as a community service through the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Community Affairs Section and is made up of the following:
First 2 hours:
Classroom Setting, Awareness – Discussion
Second 2 hours:
Learning Self-Defense Applications
Third 2 hours (When Available):
Practical learning and application of self-defense using full contact with a "role-playing aggressor" in a "Red Man Suit."
