Director Susan Donlon
Division of Administrative Services is responsible for the management of the business aspects of the Sheriff’s Office and contains the Administrative Unit, Planning and Research Unit, and Human Resource Unit.
ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT CONSISTS OF:
Records Section
-
Responsible for data entry and retrieval of all records for the agency.

Maintain all arrest files, complaint reports, other related reports, and archived information.
- Ensures proper staffing at Public Service Field Offices allowing a more convenient remote access to the SJSO Administrative Functions.
- Coordinate agency volunteers.
- Oversee housekeeping requirements.
PLANNING AND RESEARCH UNIT CONSISTS OF:
Research Section
- Publishes the Annual Agency Report, provides information for the SJSO Multi-Year Plan as well as providing for future goals and objectives.
Professional Standards Section
- Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures meet both State and National standards to maintain accredited status.
Publications Branch
- Controls all SJSO forms, manuals, newsletter information and all other printing projects.
HUMAN RESOURCES UNIT CONSISTS OF:
Personnel Section
- Coordinate the advertising of open positions in house and to public.
- Keep and maintain all personnel files.
- Intake and file all personnel evaluations.
- Maintains ATMS certification on all SJSO sworn personnel.
Recruitment Section
- Conducts a positive recruitment program to attract and process the most qualified applicants.
- Coordinates and manages the selection process.
- Advertises position openings.
- Conducts background investigations on applicants.
Risk Management Section
- Process Agency Workers’ Compensation claims.
- Maintain Agency Workers’ Compensation files.
- Maintain Agency Family Medical Leave Tracking.
