Susan J Donlon, Colonel
Colonel Donlon is the Director of the Division of Administrative Services and answers directly to Sheriff Shoar in this capacity. Her duties include overseeing the management, functions, supervision, and direction of three distinct units.
The Units include the Administrative Unit, which encompasses the administration portion of the division consisting of the budget, divisional control systems, and analytical support and the Records Management Section, which is responsible for maintaining all agency-generated reports to include data input and retrieval of offense, arrest files, complaint reports, citations, warnings, vehicle accidents and archived materials in compliance with Florida retention laws. They are additionally responsible for the staffing of the Public Service Field Offices, and supervision of the agency housekeeping requirements.
The Human Resource Unit is comprised of three sections. The Personnel Section, which coordinates all personnel actions to include the promotional process, evaluations commendations, disciplinary actions, retention, and maintenance of all agency personnel files. The Recruitment Section is responsible for and administers the hiring process in accordance with all AA/EEO requirements. The Risk Management Section handles all aspects of the agency’s Risk Management Program, Workers’ Compensation claims and FMLA requirements.
The Accreditation/Publication Unit consists of the Professional Standards Section, which is responsible for ensuring policies and procedures meet both State and National standards. This section includes the Publications Branch, which is responsible for all agency forms, manuals, monthly newsletter, information packets and special projects.
