Oklahoma Homicide Investigation

Investigators with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit have facilitated the arrests of two suspects wanted in connection with a homicide investigation, which occurred in Oklahoma.

Detectives from Edmond, Oklahoma contacted the SJSO regarding the possibility that the pair were in St. Johns County and then boarded a plane to travel here. Detectives discovered a local web posting on an adult escort site offering the services of a female, which were believed to be connected to the pair. SJSO undercover detectives contacted the individual, who responded with a schedule of services, prices for various activities and a photograph, which matched the description of one of the individuals being sought out of Oklahoma. A meeting was arranged at an undisclosed location in the NW District and surveillance began at the location.

The female subject, who arrived alone, met with the undercover detective, who already had knowledge that suspect’s driver’s license was suspended. After a brief conversation, the suspect who has been identified as, Lindsi Mae Carmella Mayabb, 37, of Oklahoma City, was arrested on local charges and taken to the SJSO for further questioning.

Detectives then sought the location of the second suspect, identified as, George Stewart Watson, 37, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and traveled to an area hotel near SR16 and I-95, where he was also secured. Both individuals were booked into the SJC Jail on warrants from their jurisdiction related to their homicide investigation.
