Traffic Laws

Move over law

Move over law – Requires a vehicle move over if an emergency vehicle is on the shoulder. If you are unable to move over, slow to 20MPH less than the posted speed limit. #MOVEOVERFL

Tint – Florida law allows 28% in the front windows and 15% in the rear windows.

SCHOOL BUS STOPS

FLORIDA BUMPER LAWS

Florida Bumper Laws – Front Bumper Height shall not exceed 28 inches in front for trucks with a net shipping weight of 3000-5000 pounds.

Florida Exhaust RegulationS

Florida Exhaust Regulations - No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle operated upon the highways in such a manner that the noise emitted by the motor vehicle is above that emitted by the vehicle as originally manufactured.

TEXTING

As of October 1, 2019 it is illegal to text and drive. While in active school zones and work zones, wireless devices can only be used in a hands-free manner.

Bicycle signs, signals & markings

Golf Carts

Effect October 1, 2023 Florida Statute 316.212 now prohibits a person under 18 years of age from operating a golf cart on certain roadways unless he or she possesses a valid learner’s driver license or valid driver license.

Pedestrian Traffic Regulations

In Florida, a pedestrian is anyone traveling on foot, in a wheelchair, using rollerblades or skates, or on a skateboard. See Florida Statute 316.130 for all Pedestrian Traffic Regulations.
