The Criminal Investigations Division (CID)

The Criminal Investigations Division is staffed with sworn and civilian members which comprise a diverse workforce of subject matter experts uniquely qualified and equipped to respond to, and investigate, any type of criminal case, regardless of the severity of the crime. Our agency mission is to “Serve with Excellence” which is our guiding principle as we analyze all cases with a sense of urgency and focused detail to ensure
justice and closure for all crime victims in St. Johns County.

The Criminal Investigations Division is divided into two distinct areas-

Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC), Property Crimes, Special Investigations (Narcotics), and Internal Affairs.

To retrieve property held by Forensics, please contact them in advance to schedule an appointment. You may be required to provide a valid photo ID and case number. Property releases are conducted during designated hours and may require authorization from the case Detective or courts. For more information or to schedule a pickup, please call (904) 209-1497.
